| We deal with engines in and out of cars all day long, we know the signs overheating. No experienced detectives neccessary for this one, I would hope that most would agree. Pic #1 Heat tab (center melted completely out)
Pic #2 Coolant galleys stained yellow. Everyone may not know this but this happens when you run one extremely hot and just cook the antifreeze. I have seen it many times. On a motor with this few miles that had not been overheated the coolant galleys would not be discolored like this.
Pics #3 and #4 Detonation sensor melted down. Everyone may not be aware of this one either. The detonation sensor is encased in some form of plastic that melts at about the same temperature that it takes to damage an engine from overheating. The stuff just melts off from around the metal insides as you can see exposed and runs down the block. This detonation sensor is almost completely nude at this point. All its clothes lying on top of the block. I have seen this several times, usually along with a motor that has a bad headgasket (warped heads) from overheating.

So in closing, I am sorry that Rob overheated his car but our motor did not overheat itself. We have let him know that we are willing to fix it for him at bare cost in order to help him out in this situation. We don't like to see this happen to anyone and we will help out the best we can.
